Tavern Module Field Trip 2004


These pictures were taken during the module Field Trip to Burford (Oxfordshire) in January 2004. Our local guide was Raymond Moody, author of The Inns of Burford (2 parts, Burford: HindSight, 1996-97). The latter is the source of the information appearing below.

 

Former Crown Inn (Burford)

Burford High St with Bull Inn

The (Old) Bull (second house from the left, with brick frontage), probably of medieval origin and still trading. In 1610, it was moved three houses down the High Street (i.e. to the left) to the present location (Photo: B. Wilson).
