Different languages and cultures have always played an important role in my life. I grew up bilingually (German-American) and spent my childhood in Germany, the US and Turkey. During my gap year, which I spent in Bolivia, I developed a keen interest in Latin America. I went on to study English and Political Science at Humboldt University and Free University of Berlin respectively, with a semester in Mexico City studying International Relations. After graduating with a master’s degree, I completed my teacher training and taught English at a “Gymnasium” in Berlin.

Having moved to England in 2013, I became a German Tutor at Warwick University in 2015. I have been teaching German to students from absolute beginners to the level B2. I have taught Intermediate and Higher Intermediate classes through the LLL Programme, beginners’ classes for WBS masters students, and am now a tutor of German in the academic programme of the Language Centre. I am passionate about foreign language teaching and intercultural exchange.
