About
Hi! I am a PhD student in game localisation in Translation and Transcultural Studies at the University of Warwick, under the supervision of Dr David Orrego-Carmona and Dr Sijing Lu. I have hands-on experience in game localisation, project management, LQA testing, comic translation, and subtitling, and I’ve collaborated closely with developers, designers, producers, and other localisation roles across different stages of production.
I work in Simplified Chinese, English, and Japanese, and I truly enjoy every project I take on. My industry experience showed me how powerfully localisation shapes player experience, and that inspiration now drives my research.
Research
My research explores how localisation quality shapes player experience, proposing new ways to evaluate and improve game localisation through Linguistic Quality Assurance (LQA) focused on cultural references. My professional experience in localisation has helped me connect academic insight with real industry needs. My goal is to develop clear, practical frameworks that support developers in providing immersive and fun experiences for players around the world.
