This module is assessed by means of two assessed essays of 1500 (25% each) and a two-hour written exam in May/June (50%).

The essays will be based on the literary and cinematic works discussed in seminars. Essay titles will be provided via Moodle. The dates for submission are:

First assessed essay: Monday 7 January 2019, 12 noon
Second assessed essay: Wednesday 24 April 2019, 12 noon

The exam will consist of a two-hour paper with questions based on the historical and political content. You will be required to answer one question from Section A (term 1) and one question from Section B (term 2).
