Re-Imagine Other. The Art of Empathy - Art, Provocation, Discussion

- Export as iCalendar
Location: St Michael's House, Coventry Cathedral.

A multi-media art installation showcases work by artists Mohsen Keiany, Matt Parker and Mohammed Ali, all of which are responses to Dr James Hodkinson's research into themes of representation, oppositionality and empathy with a particular focus on Islam. The installation will be located in St Michael's House, Coventry Cathedral, and in the outdoor spaces around the cathedral. There will be an open, a round-table discussion with artists, community leaders, academics and the public - exploring how the art unlocks conversation around the themes presented, and this will followed by Iftar (breaking of Ramadan fast) for all faiths.

The event is free - but book tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/re-imagining-the-opposition-the-art-of-empathy-tickets-61928559990?aff=efbeventtix&fbclid=IwAR0V_morvOoc8DeXVVO6uq8kq-Rd6u9NpuQo6yZ-GPCmQqDpUfTB05nXFNs

This evening represents a pilot of a larger outdoor public exhibition to take place in late June 2019, in Birmingham City Centre. #artofempathy.
