Falling Skies: conversations on ways of being in an era of eco-social catastrophe

This is a cross-disciplinary working group which aims at creating a space of exchange and connection to engage critically with the intersection of multiple eco-social catastrophes. Among the Guaraní people of South America, the term ne’e refers to both spoken words and soul or spirit. Inspired by this animatedness of words, each session is framed by a keyword and takes the format of a short presentation on a pre-circulated text followed by a group conversation. We welcome discussions around texts from a range of subject areas, including Literature, History, Philosophy and Life Sciences, which attend to the relational dynamics between and across the Global North and South, as well as the enduring and pervasive footprint of colonial violence.
