The Agency para la Reincorporación y la Normalización (ARN) is the agency charged with designing, implementing and charting the processes of reintegration of ex-combatants in Colombia. It has more than 16 year's experience managing reintegration, reincorporation, peace building and reconciliation in Colombia.
Alejandro Garzón holds a BA in International Relations from the Universidad Externado de Colombia (Bogotá). He has worked on research projects involving victims’ land restitution in Colombia, armed conflict, international cooperation, international geopolitics, Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Processes (DDR) and Human Rights. He oversees international cooperation projects, and projects related to art and culture at the ARN.
Otoniel Romero Gómez is a theatre practitioner specialised in International Human Rights law and peace-building through the arts. He has extensive experience directing and facilitating community theatre initiatives, especially with vulnerable and marginalised youths in Colombia. Since 2005 he has been working in Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration (DDR) processes in Colombia. He is currently an ARN facilitator based in the Valle del Cauca region providing support on Reintegration and Reincorporation processes with male and female ex-combatants.
