This one-day interdisciplinary workshop organised by Professor Alison Ribeiro de Menezes brought together researchers from the UK, Ireland, Spain and the US to debate the latest research into the Spanish Civil War. Panels included Issues and Trends in Civil War Historiography, Investigating and Excavating Memories, the Civil War in cinema and media, Memories of the War in Spain and beyond.

During the symposium, attendees were able to visit a special display of Spanish Civil War documents at Warwick's Modern Record Centre
