GSD alumni returns to present talk on United Nations work experiences

GSD Graduation: Congratulations Class of 2024!

On 22nd July we were pleased to witness our 2024 GSD final year students graduate. Celebrations included a graduation ceremony at Butterworth Hall

(Warwick Arts Centre) followed by a celebratory lunch where student awards were also presented.


Global Sustainable Development graduate wins prestigious contribution award

A student who recently graduated as part of our GSD Class of 2024 has won a prestigious award in recognition of their outstanding contributions both academically and toward social causes.

    Kirsty Reed is one of a few selected graduates who received Warwick’s OSCA prize, which celebrates gifted students who campaign for good causes, fundraise, start small businesses and work with local charities.

    Summer Graduation 2024 Welcomes Back GSD Alumni

    With graduation for many of our students just around the corner (Monday 22nd July 2024), we are pleased to welcome back one of our GSD alumni as a keynote speaker for the 2024 summer graduation ceremony.

    Fred Betley was part of our first ever cohort of GSD students following our degree’s launch in 2016, graduating with a BASc in Sociology and Global Sustainable Development.

    We are delighted to share the news that Luke Netherclift, a recent GSD and Business Studies graduate, was one of the winners of Warwick’s Outstanding Student Contribution Awards (OSCAs)!


    GSD graduate leads sustainability careers event for school students

    Earlier this year, Maddie Booth, a Politics, International Studies and GSD graduate, led a partnership project to help students interested in careers in sustainability. In her role as Sustainability Officer at Solihull College and University Centre, along with the Sustainable Development team at Solihull Council, Maddie organised online webinars and resources featuring local businesses, universities, and other organisations. Staff, current students, and alumni from the GSD Department were involved in the project, sharing their experiences to help students learn more about sustainability careers.
