On Tuesday 29th October, the School for Cross-Faculty Studies (SCFS) ran its Work Placement Fair, offering Warwick students the opportunity to meet students who have undertaken a work placement and find out more about their experiences.

On 22nd July we were pleased to witness our 2024 GSD final year students graduate. Celebrations included a graduation ceremony at Butterworth Hall

(Warwick Arts Centre) followed by a celebratory lunch where student awards were also presented.

With graduation for many of our students just around the corner (Monday 22nd July 2024), we are pleased to welcome back one of our GSD alumni as a keynote speaker for the 2024 summer graduation ceremony.

Fred Betley was part of our first ever cohort of GSD students following our degree’s launch in 2016, graduating with a BASc in Sociology and Global Sustainable Development.

On 19^th-23^rd June, as part of a strategic project funded by the Warwick Innovation Fund and the Warwick International Partnership Fund, GSD organised a 5-day academic field trip to Brussels, focused on past, present and future global sustainable development challenges and responses in the city.

Nine undergraduates were selected to participate in the trip (and received a bursary for this): five students from our GSD degrees and four students from our partner degree Global Studies at UPF, in Barcelona.

Professor Mandy Sadan was interviewed by the Democratic Voice of Burma (DVB), Burma's largest independent media network for their podcast series 'DVB Reads'.

GSD was pleased to welcome a group of undergraduate students last term, as part of a new collaboration of the University of Warwick with the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) scheme.

IISMA is a student mobility scholarship scheme funded by the Indonesian Government, involving a number of top universities across the world.
