Monash Warwick Alliance Education Exchange Scheme

Visiting Educator Scheme

The aim of the Monash Warwick Alliance Visiting Educator scheme is to share excellent practice in learning and teaching, as part of a wider programme of international collaboration between Monash University and University of Warwick.

The scheme is managed by the Monash Education Academy and the Warwick International Higher Education Academy and provides a funding contribution to enable sharing, development and review of innovative pedagogical activity through exchanges of leading educators.

Visiting Educator(s) are expected to contribute or lead a programme of events at the host University to enhance teaching programmes, strategies and knowledge exchange across both Universities. Activities should have clear outputs and may incorporate a number of the following:

  • An event focussing on the Visiting Educator(s) own work in teaching innovation, targeted at early career scholars
  • Activity aimed at an audience beyond the Visiting Educator(s) own disciplinary background (e.g. lecture, performance, exhibition, seminar, workshop)
  • Cross-university and/or cross-sector meetings to explore further collaborative opportunities with groups/individuals beyond the Principal Applicant’s disciplinary area
  • Engagement with the Academy Fellows exploring approaches to development of practice linked to Monash and Warwick’s learning strategies

Activities should normally also provide opportunities to create, capture, develop or share learning objects with all staff members and where appropriate students.
