Additional information about CIM postgraduate taught programmes is provided below.

How do I apply to study at CIM?
Apply to study on the CIM postgraduate programmes through the University admissions system. Details on how to make your application can be found here. Extensive information about how to use the application form and how to upload your supporting documents can be found here.
When you fill in your application, choose "Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies" as the department, and select your chosen degree programme.
What should I write in my personal statement?
Your personal statement is a vital part of your application. We read it carefully and is one of the main ways we decide if you are suitable for the course.
You should do background research on your chosen course, by reviewing for example the course descriptions and module descriptions provided on the CIM website. Highlight specific aspects of the course (e.g. modules, module content, topics, issues or methods) that are of particular interest to you and tell us what makes you want to study this course in particular, and why you want to come to CIM.
Many of the poor statements we see are overly general and clearly aimed at a number of universities or other degrees.
If you are applying to study from a professional background, we are particularly interested in how you see your work experience relating to the content of your chosen course. If you have studied previously in a different discipline to the one that you want to study for your postgraduate degree, tell us what led you to want to make this change.
When will I hear back about my application?
Processing time varies throughout the year. We aim to respond to applications within 6 weeks from the date when we received your final supporting documents and reference(s)
How do I accept my offer?
If you receive an offer to study with us you will have 6 weeks from the date that it was issued to accept it. Instructions for accepting your offer can be found here:
https://warwick.ac.uk/study/postgraduate/apply/pgadmissions/offerholders/
Do I need to have met the conditions of my offer before I can accept it?
No, you do not need to have met the conditions of your offer in order to accept it. Many applicants are awaiting final results of a previous programme of study so will need to accept their offer in advance of meeting all offer conditions.
Is there a time limit for accepting my offer?
Yes. If we give you an offer to study a CIM PGT degree, we will hold your place for 6 weeks, and you will need to accept your offer and also pay your fees deposit within that time. Please ensure that you do both at: https://warwick.ac.uk/study/postgraduate/apply/pgadmissions/offerholders/
What funding is available to study at CIM?
A number of sources of funding are available. If you are looking for funding, make sure that you identify schemes you are eligible for in advance and make a note of their deadlines.
Information on sources of funding for CIM postgraduate taught degrees can be found on the CIM website here. The Warwick Doctoral College website also maintains an extensive list of scholarship schemes and alternative ways to fund your studies.
What are the English language requirements?
We require you to meet Warwick's Band B English language requirements for admission to CIM postgraduate taught programmes. Please see the following link for eligible tests and required overall and component scores:
https://warwick.ac.uk/study/postgraduate/apply/english/
For further information about satisfying English language requirements, see the relevant section of the admissions FAQs.
Can I take a pre-sessional English course in order to meet the language requirements?
Pre-sessional English is an academic English language and study skills programme. It prepares you linguistically and culturally for your future degree studies and gives you a chance to settle into your life in and around the University. Pre-sessional English is for students whose first language is not English and who have a conditional offer to study for a degree at the University of Warwick or other UK university that requires them to attend the course or recommends that they do so. The course is also for students who need to acquire well-developed academic English and study skills and who wish to become familiar with British university culture and life before beginning their studies.
There may be the option to attend the Pre-Sessional English Programme prior to commencement of study. Please contact cim@warwick.ac.uk for details if you are considering this option. Note that the 10 week Pre-Sessional English programme will normally commence in early July, and the deadline for applications may be a number of weeks in advance of this date. For more information on Pre-Sessional English, see:
https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/soc/al/study/learn-english/pre-sessional/
If you will require a Tier 4 visa to study the Pre-sessional course at Warwick, you must have a Secure English Language Test (SELT). Currently the UKVI IELTS test is the only English language test (SELT) recognised by the UK Visas and Immigration Service. Please also note CIM candidates need to have obtained an IELTS writing component score of 6.0 to be eligible to attend.
