Aims and Learning Outcomes
By the end of this module, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate a critical understanding of the importance of the historical nature of philosophical and psychopathological concepts to current debates in psychiatry and the philosophy of psychiatry
- Critically appraise and evaluate a key figure’s ideas in the philosphical history of psychopathology
- Demonstrate advanced skills in the analysis, assessment and construction of rational arguments
- Identify arguments and synthesise them from a variety of sources
- Demonstrate a comprehensive ability to use and understand properly specialised philosophical and psychopathological terminology
