Ifan graduated from the University of Warwick with an upper second class Master of Chemistry degree in 2022. His final year MChem project was supervised by Dr Ahmed Eissa and was titled ' 3D printed functional emulsion templated polymer scaffolds for biomedical applications.'

In October 2022 Ifan joined the Haddleton group as a PhD student. His project focuses on the development of new probe materials for tribology and is sponsored by Unilever.
