Education

The University of Warwick

(2020-23) - BSc (with Honours)

(2023-Current) - PhD in Polymer Chemistry (Haddleton Group)

Current Research

  • Anionic polymerisation of functionality-controlled Hydroxy-Terminated Polybutadienes (HTPBs)
    • Synthesis of di/tri-functional organolithium initiators
  • OH Functionality determination of HTPBs
  • Curing of HTPBs with diisocyanates to form crosslinked polyurethane binders for use in rocket propellants
    • Modifying ratios of diisocyanates with HTPB and monitoring changes in molecular weight in flow via GPC
    • Measuring physical characteristics of cured polymers via DSC
    • Measuring rheological changes of curing polymers
  • Effect of antioxidants on rheological and kinetic characterstics of cured HTPBs

Future Work

Utilising flow chemistry to produce HTPBs and polyurethane binders in a time and cost efficient manner.
