Ellis Hancox

Ellis grew up near Banbury, Oxfordshire and started her MChem degree at the University of Warwick in 2014. She completed her Master’s project under the supervision of Prof. David Haddleton in 2018, studying the microphase separation of high chi, low molecular weight polymers synthesised by copper-mediated polymerisations and graduated with a first class honours degree. Ellis continued in the Haddleton group, continuing her Masters work and expanding to the study of highly amphiphilic block copolymer self-assembly in solution. She will undertake a year of study at Monash University, Australia in which her polymers will be tested for drug delivery applications.

Research interests:

Microphase separation, amphiphilic polymers, Copper-mediated living radical polymerisation, photoinduced polymerisation, polymer self-assembly.
