PhD Research

My research has been focused on monitoring deamidation of asparagines in collagen extracted from ancient bones using Fourier-Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance Mass Spectrometry (FT-ICR-MS). The goal of the research is to establish a correlation between age and the extent of deamidation of collagen, which could potentially be used as a relative dating tool.
