Pushing the limits of 2D FT-ICR MS.


  • Development of a method for the determination of macromolecules in complex matrices through the use of Two-dimensional (2D) FT-ICR MS.
  • Application of 2D MS to Top-down/Bottom-up Proteomics, polymer analysis, Glycomics.
  • Construction and improvement of a Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance (FT-ICR) mass spectrometer.
  • Orchestrated laboratory maintenance, safety, and reagents and other materials stock control.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of a GC-MS for teaching and demonstrating purposes.
  • Taught a GC-MS laboratory course to undergraduate and master students. Tutored students during their summer projects involving FT-ICR MS. Trained new Ph.D. students in laboratory safety and maintenance.
  • Developed confidence in talking in public, and a strong visual sense for proportions and order in graphics.

I actively promote awareness in the working environment about mental health, gender equality, LGBTQI+ rights, and cystic fibrosis.
