I did my first degree in 2007-2010 at the University of Hong Kong. I particularly enjoyed Analytical Chemistry modules on my course and decided to pursue my further career by doing the AS:MIT MSc programme at the University of Warwick. The first half of the year was taught courses and I was particularly excited by real practice of experiments in every module. I've chosen to do my research project in Mass spectometry

My project Title is Use of Ultrahigh Resolution Mass Spectrometry in the Analysis of Polymeric Excipients in Drug Delivery Formulations

Abstract of my Project

My project is to use high resolution mass spectrometry -- FTICR, to compare the differences in drug excipients. In drug excipients, they are mostly composed with different polymer which form complex spectra. In my work, Gelucire 44/14 and Polysorbate 80 are under investigation.
