SJTU Global challenge - online programme
15 undergraduate students from across a range of subject areas at Warwick
will team up virtually with 15 counterparts from Shanghai Jiao Tong University
over three weeks between 19 June - 12 July 2023
to consider Issues facing port cities between the 19th and 21st Centuries across the world.
Deadline for applications: Monday 27 March 2023 at 12:00 (noon, GMT)
Programme Information:
The programme will consider this year's theme of 'Global Problems in Global Cities'.
In particular how different nations have dealt with different crises and challenges with sessions considering this in the context of Asia, America and Europe in the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries.
Academic experts from SJTU and Warwick will support student groups who will deliver group presentations at the end of the programme.
The activity aims to build students' skills and experience in intercultural communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, virtual group work, managing projects across multiple time zones and presentation.
Approximately 40 hours of structured teaching time. Additional time will be required to undertake group working during this programme.

WDSS Education:
WDSS is running courses for Python, R and SQL this term and we are starting in week 3!
- Beginner’s Python is a 7-week course for complete beginners to coding and Python. This will give you the skills necessary to continue to our Python for Data Science course in Term 2.
- Into the Tidyverse is a 5-week course for students interested in picking up R, one of the leading languages for statistical computing and graphics.
- Deep Dive into SQL is an intensive and interactive 2-week course that will get you comfortable with SQL. Suitable for both beginner and advanced SQLers!

Warwick Hyperloop is recruiting!
Warwick Hyperloop is a student-run team supported by the SoE, WMG, Comsol and MagnetStore. We aim to innovate and test new ideas regarding Hyperloop technology. We have previously competed in the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition hosted by Elon Musk, European Hyperloop Week 2022 and we are looking to compete again in 2023.
We are looking for a variety of students to join our technical and non-technical teams. In particular, we are looking for engineering students for these roles: Mechanical Executive, Electronics & Software Executive, Propulsion & Levitation Executive.

Emergency and Support Links

This alerts the University Community Safety team and will enable the emergency vehicle to be speedily escorted to where it is required on the campus.
