Opportunities for post graduate students - KPMG

We are currently recruiting student actuaries to join later this year, and are particularly interested in recruiting people with a post graduate degree given the highly technical nature of the work we are undertaking. In my experience, many of the most able actuaries come from an engineering or physics background and I am hoping that you might be able to draw this opportunity to the attention of your postgraduate students.

Access to F105/6

The School has arranged for students to have card access to F105 and F106 24/7, so students may now use the rooms for self study and team meetings in the evenings and at weekends. Please note however that this access will be withdrawn if the rooms are abused: we are concerned about the level of furniture breakages, rubbish and overnight sleeping. Please use the facilities as intended and clear up your rubbish as you go.

Warwick Commuters Society

I am currently setting up a new society for students who live at home called "Warwick Commuters". It will run regular events and socials as well as fundraising activities. We will also provide a source of social support to those in the same position, particularly connecting first years with other first years. We are looking to be official in the new academic year, 2014/15.

Emergency and Support Links

For emergencies or urgent safety concerns, please contact the University 24-hour Community Safety line: +44 (0)2476 522083. Community Safety operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

In the event of an emergency on campus requiring ambulance, police or fire brigade, call 22222 from an internal telephone. If you are on campus and you use a mobile to call for an emergency service (999), you should also then call 024 76 5 22222. This alerts the University Community Safety team and will enable the emergency vehicle to be speedily escorted to where it is required on the campus.

If you're struggling but it's not an emergency, please contact Wellbeing.

If you are a parent or guardian there is more information on what to do if you have concerns: warwick.ac.uk/services/wss/parents/#concern.
