The new 2024/25 Submarine Project has been launched!
The new Warwick Submarine team for 2024/25 has been formed and the project has launched! The aim of this year's project is to build a submarine and compete in the 2025 International Submarine Races taking place in Maryland, USA. Stay tuned for further updates!
The 2022/23 Submarine Project Has Launched!
The new Warwick Submarine team for 2022/23 has been formed and the project has launched! The aim of this year's project is to build a submarine and compete in the 2023 International Submarine Races taking place in Maryland, USA. Stay tuned for further updates!
The 2020/2021 Warwick Submarine Project Has Begun
The project has begun for the academic year of 2020/2021! The team consists of 7 MEng engineering students who have already determined the areas of focus for this years project: designing and manufacturing a new hull, implementing a preexisting electronic steering system, applying a team member's 3rd year project design for electromagnetic hatches and creating a new propeller. Success at International Submarine Races 2017
In June 2017, the team achieved great success with their submarine Godiva 3 at the International Submarine Races (ISR), held in Maryland, USA. They won awards for ‘Best Design Outline’, ‘Best Use of Composites’ and came third in their category for speed, reaching 2.52 knots. Read the full story »
