In a scheme organised by Shell an Engineering student has been crowned the UK's most enterprising student after developing a product which won his company a new business opportunity worth up to £500,000 during a summer work experience placement.

Prime Minister opens new Digital Lab
25 July 2008: Prime Minister Gordon Brown today opened the University of Warwick's flagship building - the Digital Lab - using "virtual scissors" to cut a ribbon in cyberspace. The £13 million Lab, the brainchild of Professor Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya, director of international research and education group WMG, has been two years in construction with top international academics taking occupation this week.
