River Watchers India is led by a team of scientists from India and the UK. We have expertise in a number of fields including microbial ecology and analytical chemistry. Our focus in this project is water pollution of Indian waterways, in particular focussing on antimicrobial resistance in the environment.

Dr Chiara Borsetto is consulting on the project as an experienced researcher with skills across analytical chemistry, microbiology and bioinformatics, with a particular focus on investigating antimicrobial resistance in the river environment. Chiara works on the AMR-INDIA project ResPHARM and is based at the School of Life Sciences, University of Warwick, UK.

Thara M V is the Principal Investigator on the project. She is a PhD student at IIT Madras, Chennai, India and works on antimicrobial resistance on the AMR-INDIA project AMRflows.

Research Fellow

Dr Emma Travis is consulting on the project as an experienced post doctoral fellow with skills in experimental design, data analysis, geographical information systems and website design. Emma currently works on the AMR-INDIA project ResPHARM and is based at the School of Life Sciences, University of Warwick, UK.
