Sascha Jenkins

Sascha Jenkins

Sascha Jenkins was an undergraduate student at the University of Warwick and stayed on to do her PhD on Fusarium disease in pea in the Clarkson Team at the Wellesbourne Campus which she completed in 2018. She then returned to take up a postdoc position on an AHDB Fellowship and a project working on Fusarium disease across several crops including onion, lettuce and Narcissus in March 2020. Sascha is now expanding the scope of Fusarium research at Warwick by successfully obtaining a BBSRC funded Horticulture Quality and Food Loss Network pump priming fund, for 'Understanding Fusarium oxysporum diseases to reduce crop losses of UK parsley and coriander'. She will be investigating the Fusarium species associated with disease in both parsley and coriander and will be working with Elsoms Seeds and British Herbs to investigate the relative susceptibility of different cultivars.
