Research Title:

CVD risk factors among BAME in the UK

About my research:

The project involves identification of key risk factors and prevalence of major CVDs in ethnic minorities in the UK. The research will also aim to compare the performance of existing risk predictive models, and to devise a novel predictive tool based on identified ethnic-specific predictors. The study will estimate the proportion of cases of major CVDs that can potentially be prevented by a healthy lifestyle, and assess the optimal utilisation of current primary and secondary prevention of CVD in ethnic minorities.
