We were delighted to be able to award five prizes in the following categories:

Our two keynote speakers were
Dr Victoria Tzortziou Brown, OBE - 'General practice: challenges and opportunities ahead'
Victoria is a GP in east London and the RCGP Vice Chair for External Affairs, having previously co-chaired the RCGP Health Inequalities group. She combines research and extensive clinical commissioning experience.
Professor Helen Atherton - 'Pioneers of the future: finding your way in academic primary care research'
Helen is Professor of Primary Care Research in the Primary Care Research Centre, University of Southampton. Helen is a health services researcher with a PhD in Primary care research and has worked in academic primary care research since 2005. Her background is in public health and anthropology. Helen’s expertise is in use of digital routes of access to general practice, and alternatives to the face-to-face consultation, such as online and video. She leads studies that focus on how digital routes of access into general practice impact on patients and healthcare professionals.
The Annual Education, Research and Innovation Symposium is held in partnership with the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) Midland Faculty.
