Biography

Anne qualified in medicine in 1980 and her clinical area is general practice (family medicine). She has a Masters in Medical Ethics and Law from King's College London and a DPhil in medical ethics from the University of Oxford. She was a founder member of the UK Clinical Ethics Network and has a part time post as clinical ethicist at the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. She has run training workshops for members of clinical ethics committees throughout the UK for the past ten years. Her main areas of research interest are ethical decision making in clinical practice, provision of clinical ethics support, and research with vulnerable populations. She has also published on ethics in medical education. She is a member of the Editorial Committee of Clinical Ethics, the Governing Body of the UK Institute of Medical Ethics. And the British Transplant Society Ethics Committee.
