Evidence and Values in Clinical Education
Gain a critical understanding of the complex interrelationships between evidence and values which underpin the practice and development of clinical education
- This module plays a key role in preparing MMedEd participants to undertake a Professional Project or Dissertation
- A combination of intensive face-to-face teaching (3 days) and online learning (resource-based learning and online discussion)
- Optional tutorials will be available either face-to-face or via web-based video/audio conferencing
Requirements:
Before taking this module, you should have successfully completed the requirements of the Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education (which represents achievement of the HEA’s national professional standards for higher education).
You must either have already completed the following modules: 'Essentials of Clinical Education'; 'Assessment in Clinical Education'; and 'Becoming an Effective Teacher'.
Or, completed an M level postgraduate certificate in education (relevant to clinical education) at another institution and/or achieved Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.

Induction module
Before completing the course, you will undertake our Induction and Professional Development module, introducing you to all the underpinning regulations, guidance and support available to you during your postgraduate study.
