Warwick Medical School (WMS) offers a wide range of Research Degrees that will allow you to tackle health challenges from discovery science to health and social care delivery in Biomedical Sciences, Applied Health, the Clinical Trials Unit and in collaboration with our NHS and other external partners.

MPhil/PhD
- 4 years full time or 7 years part-time
- For applicants interested in undertaking research in Biomedical Sciences, Applied Health or in the Clinical Trials Unit.

MD Doctor of Medicine
- 2 years full time or 3 years part-time
- For applicants who already hold a medical doctor degree (e.g., MBChB) and are considering a career in medical research.

Master's by Research
- 1 year full time or 2 year part-time
- MSc in Health Sciences, MSc in Biomedical Sciences, MSc in Medicine
- For those who do not have previous research experience and/or prefer a shorter project
MRes in Translational Biomedical Research

PhD by Published Work
- 1 year full time with a minimum 6-month registration's period before submitting.
Our PhD by Published Work is open to individuals who have already undertaken a portfolio of published research to the standard of a PhD.
