Why did you choose BSc Health and Medical Sciences at Warwick?
I liked the broad perspective that the degree offers and how it integrates both disciplines of public health and medicine. I chose Warwick as I liked the safe and supportive feel of the campus.
How have you found the course so far?
I've really enjoyed the course so far - I've found a lot of the subject areas really interesting. I also find the staff are very supportive and all my peers are friendly.
How have you found the change from college to university?
I personally found the adjustment to university relatively easy. I feel the workload is manageable, and I still have plenty of time for social activities.
What have you enjoyed most about the course so far?
My favourite topic would probably be non-communicable diseases, including cardiovascular diseases, within the Illness module.
Have you been involved in any extra curricular activities/societies?
Yes, I'm a part of a couple of societies, including Athletics and BioSoc.
Do you have an idea of what you would like to do when you graduate?
I would like to work within a pharmaceutical company, helping to deliver medical therapies to patients.
Do you have any advice for people applying for the course?
If you are looking for a holistic course which considers both healthcare systems, as well as human biology and medicine, then this course could be for you.
