Marcella Aimiuwu

Introduction

Name: Marcella Aimiuwu

Year of study: Second year

Why did you pick BSc Health and Medical Sciences?

HMS combined both of my favourite subjects – I liked the psychology and sociology side and the biological side – this course was able to combine both of those things together. We don’t only focus on the biomedical sciences, we’ve also get more of a holistic approach towards medicine and health

How have you found the course so far?

It’s been very interesting! We tend to learn a bit more about the things that affect more people and we tend to learn more about things that are more common – and those things tend to come up outside in real life. I notice things a bit more and I feel like it’s really interesting because it broadens your horizons

What is your favourite thing about the course?

My favourite thing would be the group discussions – we tend to have debates quite a lot and that’s quite interesting because you not only have to gather information and get the facts, you also have to keep away from giving your opinion

Do you know what you would like to do upon completion of the course?

I’ve looked into the NHS graduate scheme for management – I find that quite interesting which is why I chose to do an optional module in the Business School.
