Why did you choose BSc Health and Medical Sciences at Warwick?

I actually got onto the course through clearing and it was a life changing decision that I am really grateful for! I chose Warwick (it was my second choice) because I felt the institution and atmosphere was supportive. From the promotional videos I felt it was conveying a message of encouraging one to reach and discover their potential, which is a value that I respect and prioritise.

How have you found the course so far?

It is challenging and demanding however it gave me a new perspective and way of thinking. It pushes me to challenge myself and make the most out of it. The highlight is the people though, everyone is friendly and supportive, and it truly has made a difference to my experience overall.

How have you found the change from college to university?

It was rather easy in terms of family and homesickness, however it did take a while to adjust to the mode of timetabling and way of teaching, learning etc.

What have you enjoyed most about the course so far?

As I mentioned, the highlight is the people. Also, the many opportunities within this course and the large amount of guest speakers with excellent expertise to give us a real-world perspective of what we have learnt in lectures. I have also enjoyed the option to personalise my assignments to my interests.

Have you been involved in any extra curricular activities/societies?

Yes, although it is hard to have time to go to those and do well in my studies - the course is demanding! But it is different for everyone, I have friends that can manage everything!

Do you have an idea of what you would like to do when you graduate?

I'd like to remain in the health and medical sector for jobs and further study

Do you have any advice for people applying for the course?

Go for it and be confident in what you have - the answer is always no if you don’t try!

Finally, which three words would you use to describe your experience of studying at WMS?

Eye-opening, enlightening, inspiring
