Case study : Olurotimi Lawson (Roy) and Tajudeen Kazeem

Roy and Kazeem are both students from Nigeria.

Roy studied his first degree in pharmacology at Liverpool University. He knew he wanted to go to Medical School and said it helps having a first degree because he was more mature and prepared for the course, having had more life experience. "It helps studying on a course where everyone is a postgrad." Out of all the interviews he went for he enjoyed the WMS selection centre the most, saying it was interesting and relaxing with staff making him feel at ease.

Kazeem wants to be a doctor because it's a good profession and he enjoys the human interaction. His first degree was at Kings in biomedical science. In his second year, he thought about his career choices and chose Warwick after coming to an open day because it has a good environment and is out of London. For him, it's a plus point that the course is all graduate entry. He says "Warwick has come to be like a home for me."

Value for money, the campus, One World Week (the world's largest student-run international event) and the computing facilities win high praise from the students, along with early contact with patients in the first term of the MB ChB course.

To get to hospital placements a car is essential. Roy says "Come onto campus early to get a parking space!"
