The CTF Network is a community for NHS-based Clinical Teaching Fellows/Clinical Education Fellows and WMS-based CEFs teaching Warwick medical students to meet and share experiences and resources in medical education. Regular meetings throughout the year offer educational hints and tips, opportunities for collaboration and sharing good practice together.

The network provides a time and place to:

• discuss areas of interest
• demonstrate work done in furthering medical education
• build a community of practice that we can all benefit from
• sound out and peer-review research ideas
• ask for advice with teaching difficulties
• disseminate information and share resources between sites.

The first meeting of the academic year is held at Warwick Medical School, Gibbet Hill campus, to introduce new CTFs/CEFs to the curriculum and key members of the faculty. The subsequent gatherings may be held at the affiliated trusts (George Eliot Hospital, Warwick Hospital and University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire) or WMS and the meetings will be designed and led by the teaching fellows, supported by the Faculty Development Team.

Through the network we aim to strengthen the bonds between the Trusts and the University, share resources as well as supporting our clinicians in development to becoming effective and excellent medical educators.
