Conference themes

This year, our conference focuses on preparation for practice in a global world, including:

  • Sustainability and planetary health;
  • Global health;
  • The role of AI in learning and teaching;
  • Wellbeing;
  • Diversity and inclusion.

Call for abstracts

Calling all WMS staff and students! Do you have a learning and teaching innovation or good practice to share? How have you developed teaching, learning and supporting students in your organisation, phase, block or specialty to provide a high quality experience for medical students? How are you addressing our conference themes in your own practice?

We welcome submissions of:

  • Good educational practice in action: Innovations, adaptations and evaluations.
  • Student initiatives in medical education.
  • Working with students: Educational partnerships and co-creation.
  • Developing as an excellent educator.
  • Other initiatives relevant to the MBChB, particularly those addressing our conference themes.

Abstracts are invited for:

  • Oral presentations (10 mins + 5 mins Q&A)
  • Interactive workshops (60 mins)
  • Posters

All submissions should be relevant to graduate entry medicine.

Submission deadline: 27 April 2025.

We hope to notify authors by mid May.

Who should attend?

Everyone involved in delivering the Warwick MBChB is invited to attend. Each year, a number of places at the conference are reserved for Warwick medical students with a special interest in medical education.

Registration

There is no charge to attend for those involved in teaching Warwick medical students. If you are not involved in supporting Warwick medical students, please contact us to discuss attendance.

Please note that places are limited and the conference often books up very quickly. Once full, we will operate a waiting list.

If you are no longer able to attend after booking, please email us so that we can reallocate your place.
