Student Voice: About the Digital Education Intern Role

The MB ChB Digital Education Interns are a team of MB ChB students who work in collaboration with the MB ChB Education Team on a range of projects aimed at enhancing the quality of MB ChB digital education and improving the student experience.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Support the MB ChB digital transformation lead with implementation of digital education initiatives.
  • Assist with the identification of areas where current medical education provision and information could benefit from review and revision.
  • Co-creation of medical education resources and guides using a range of digital media.

Skills and attributes

The successful candidates will:

  • Demonstrate a high level of digital literacy and the ability to adapt quickly to new systems.
  • Demonstrate an interest in the affordances of technology to enhance learning & teaching.
  • Have experience of medical education and demonstrate knowledge of the WMS MB ChB curriculum.
  • Have experience of providing support to individuals building their confidence and capability with digital tools.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, flexibility, experience of working to tight deadlines and the capacity to progress a range of tasks and projects at one time in a professional and adaptable manner.
  • Demonstrate effective team working skills.
  • Be aware of good practice with regards to usability and accessibility of learning resources.
  • Be an effective and confident communicator with strong written and verbal English.
  • Be able to work autonomously and with initiative.
  • Have a can do attitude.

Recruitment and payment

We manage the logistics of employing student via the Unitemps agency. This includes:

  • Advertising job details.
  • Payroll.

The hourly rate of pay is based on the University scale at spinal point 18 (SP18).
