We recently heard from Dr Jade Edwards of Obstetrics and Gynecology (O & G) at South Warwickshire Foundation Trust (SWFT). She told us that Warwick Medical School students consistently stand out showing, maturity, commitment and excellent non-clinical skills.

Jade wrote to tell us about one particular outstanding student. She said:

"One student stood out in particular today and made what could’ve been a really stressful day into an absolute pleasure. Luke is a fourth year WMS medical student on call for O&G with me. It was apparent from chatting to him at the start of the day that my specialty isn’t really in his sights for his long-term plan, but you would not have known this from the way he engaged. He really ran the full gamut of O&G - from early pregnancy to prolapse and obstetric emergencies to fetal medicine. He was so interested and enthusiastic. He even stayed well beyond his finish time to support a woman who underwent an awake early pregnancy procedure. I was so impressed."
