Graduating with Honours

MB ChB students who demonstrate outstanding performance during their course are awarded graduate with honours, showing future employers they have been an exceptional student. Typically around 10% of students are awarded honours.

Those achieving very good grades in assessments are awarded points. At the end of the course, these points are added together and those achieving a very high aggregate score are awarded honours.

At graduation, a ceremony is held for honours students and they are highlighted in the graduating lists as receiving 'MB ChB with Honours'. As well as their degree certificate, each student is awarded a bursary to allow them to study a masters module at WMS for no charge.
