New funding from Science and Technology Facilities Council

New funding has been awarded to Prof Tony Arber, Dr Keith Bennett, Dr Chris Brady and Dr Erwin Verwichte (University of Warwick) as part of a collaboration with the University of Exeter (lead institution), University of Sheffield, University of Cambridge and University of Glasgow.

Funded by the Science and Technology Facilities Council's (STFC) new Large Award scheme, 'Solar Atmospheric Modelling Suite (SAMS) aims to build a next-generation modelling tool for the solar atmosphere, making a code that can be run on anything from laptops to the latest supercomputers. The £5 million, 5 year project will be led by the University of Exeter with the Department of Physics at Warwick as a collaborator.
