Vacancies in the THz Research Group

PhD Applicants

Please contact Prof. MacPherson if you are interested in doing a PhD in the group. We are looking for motivated applicants with skills in Physics or Engineering to help us in the next step of developing instrumentation and analysis techniques for measuring patients and classifying skin cancer.

We currently have two fully funded PHD projects available:

1. UKRI funded PhD project entitled "Optimising robotic platforms for terahertz detection of cancerLink opens in a new window" relating to robotic control of our THz probe. We are particularly keen for applicants with robotics experience to apply.

2. MRC funded DTP in interdisciplinary biomedical research Link opens in a new windowWe are keen for those with a clinical background and interest in developing new imaging techniques to apply for this project entitled: Can THz sensing be used to diagnose, detect and monitor skin conditions such as skin cancer, eczema and psoriasis?Link opens in a new window

There are scholarships available for international students applying to Warwick University. Please see the Chancellor's international Scholarship and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) scheme. The deadlines for both of these schemes are typically in the December preceding the September you wish to start: it's best to start your application around October/November. The next deadline is 12th Dec 2023 for the course application and 14th December for the scholarship application.
