UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship for Giuseppe Cannizzaro

Congratulations to Giuseppe Cannizzaro who has been awarded a four year UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship for the project "Large-scale universal behaviour of Random Interfaces and Stochastic Operators" under Round six of the scheme. Harita Dellaporta's paper (Robust Bayesian Inference for Simulator-based Models via the MMD Posterior Bootstrap) has received the best paper award at AISTAT2022

We've previously published the news that Harita Dellaporta's paper "Robust Bayesian Inference for Simulator-based Models via the MMD Posterior Bootstrap" has been invited for an oral presentation at AISTAT 2022, see https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/statistics/news/?newsItem=8a17841b7e6d30bd017e8c2d4bd17922.

Warwick trio on Savage awards shortlist

Congratulations to Aditi Shenvi, Marta Catalano and Valero Perrone who have been announced among the eight finalists for the Savage awards of the International Society for Bayesian Analysis for outstanding doctoral dissertations in Bayesian econometrics and statistics. Aditi undertook her doctoral research at Warwick (supervisor Jim Smith) as did another finalist Valerio Perrone (co-supervisors Dario Spano and Paul Jenkins, with Ye Whye Teh). Congratulations to all.

Royal Statistical Society grants unconditional accreditation to the department's undergraduate programmes

The Royal Statistical Society has accredited all six of the department's undergraduate programmes on an unconditional basis for students entering in 2022/2023. This means that any student graduating from one of our programmes will have the opportunity to gain Graduate Statistician (GradStat) status with the RSS. GradStat status adds further value to your degree qualification and the chance to access further professional development opportunities.
