Appeals

Postgraduate Appeals

Appealing is only available under certain circumstances and must be undertaken in writing within 10 working days of the notification of the Board’s of Examiner's decision.

If the Board of Examiners decides that you should:

  1. Withdraw from the course, or
  2. Not be awarded a qualification or
  3. Be awarded a lower qualification than the one for which you are registered

AND

  1. You are in possession of evidence which was not available to the Board of Examiners when its decision was reached, and can provide good reason for not having made the Board aware of the circumstances affecting your performance, or
  2. There appear to have been procedural irregularities in the conduct of the examination process, or
  3. There is evidence of prejudice or of bias on the part of one or more of the examiners, or
  4. There is evidence of inadequacy of supervisory or other arrangements during the period of study, noting that an appeal made on these grounds may only be considered where you can provide good reasons for not having made known your complaint at an earlier stage
