10.2 Organising and tracking your job applications
Organising and tracking your job applications
This is an important part of your online job application process but some people forget it
As you can see throughout this toolkit there are multiple steps that you need to take to successfully search and apply for a job online.
These steps need to be taken every single time you apply to one job, and then you have to repeat them again for the next job you apply for.
This long and repetitive process searching and applying for jobs online might become a bit overwhelming at times and could result in some mistakes or mix ups.
For example, imagine that by mistake you sent company Xtest the job application including a customised CV and customised cover letter that you wrote for company Ynet.
How do you think company Xtest will respond to your job application that was not meant for them? …they will most probably reject your application immediately.
For this reason, organising and tracking your job applications is a key component of your online job application process. This is done in two main steps:
1- Organising the application in files and folders
2- Tracking the job application progress
