As the countdown begins towards the EU referendum, the University of Warwick’s Professor Wyn Grant is to speak at a public debate on the possible effects on Britain’s agriculture.


WMG leads project to create £14 million UK automotive battery pack research facility

It was announced today Wednesday 9th September 2015 that WMG, at the University of Warwick, will lead a £14 million consortium to create a new automotive battery pack manufacturing research centre. The project will help develop the next generation of traction batteries for electric and hybrid vehicles. It will combine the best human and automated assembly methods to manufacture battery packs and lay the foundations of a new UK automotive supply chain based around this technology.

Commission says arts & creativity is being squeezed out of schools particularly for low-income families

A major report published today Tuesday 17th February 2015, entitled Enriching Britain: Culture, Creativity and Growth, argues that the concept of creativity is being squeezed out of public education, closing off creative opportunities and cultural experiences to young people. And in particular children that are born into low-income families.
