Staying healthy in every way—physically, mentally, socially, and financially—is crucial for thriving as a student. It’s important to feel comfortable and speak up about any issues you’re facing before they affect your life and studies.
There are plenty of healthcare support and wellbeing services available both locally and through the university to help you have the best possible experience. Don't hesitate to reach out and make the most of these resources!
Health
Staying healthy and looking after your wellbeing is very important and key to staying focused and making the most of your university experience.
Seeing a doctor
All students must register with a local GP (doctor) when you move off campus. Click the button below and input your postcode to find your local doctors!
There are many other health services that you may need, for all services available please check out the NHS website.
Remember, some doctors offer on-the-day appointments either through phoning up online forms. Make sure to ask about this when registering, and check if they also allow you to book in advance.
111 service
If you think you need medical help right now, but it is not an emergency 111 can help guide you on what to do next. Their nurses, doctors, pharmacists or paramedics can help give you advice and help you understand. It is particularly useful for when your personal doctor or GP is unavailable.
Dentist
It's important to note that dental work is not free in the UK, you will have to pay for whatever work needs doing. Make sure you have conversations around cost before treatment so that you understand what will be expected

Mental health and wellbeing
At Warwick, we are committed to supporting our students during their time with us. Whether you are experiencing a pastoral or welfare issue we have a range of services, teams and resources to help you to overcome your problem in a safe and confidential manner.
Our Wellbeing Support Services team will work with you to develop the personal resources and skills you need to navigate the challenges and opportunities of student life. From the moment you arrive until the day you graduate, all of their services are available to ensure you get the most out of your time here. This service is available outside of term time, if you need us please reach out!
We also have a Togetherall service, which is available for free to all of our students, providing a safe online community to support your mental health. Togetherall is a free, 24/7 online community designed to support your mental health. Available to all students and staff, this platform provides a safe, anonymous space where you can share your feelings and connect with others.
You can access Togetherall anytime, all year round!

There are a range of ways to keep fit and have fun during your time here with us, from joining one of our unique student societies to visiting our Sports and Wellness Hub which provides state-of-the-art amenities from a 50m swimming pool to a 15m-high indoor climbing area.
