We are proudly celebrating some of the members of our community that were selected for TeamGB and have been competed at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo:
Kare Adenegan
(current student)
Sport: Wheelchair Racing (Athletics), T34
Course: History (2nd Year)
Achievements: 7x World Medallist, 3x Paralympic Medallist (Rio 2016),
2018 BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year, previous 100m world record holder, 2x Paralympic Medallist Tokyo 2020.
Tom Hall
(alumni)
Sport: Archery
Course: Alumni, Chemistry (MChem) and Organic Chemistry (PdD)
Achievements: No.1 in the UK, world-ranked 72. World Cup Team Bronze (2018), Indoor World Series Silver (individual; 2018), GB National Tour overall winner (2019, 2020), qualified in 13th and won Olympic quota places at the 2019 World Championships, GB men's team captain 2019-2021, Olympian Tokyo 2020.
James Woodgate
(coming to Warwick this year)
Sport: Archery
Course: Prospective, Physics (place from September 2021, unconditional firm)
Achievements: UK National Indoor Champion 2019, GB youth team member since 2019, previous World Record holder for the WA Double 60m round (cadet gents), 2nd place on the European Youth Cup Circuit 2019, 17th place at the World Youth Championships 2019 in the Cadet Gents Recurve category, Olympian Tokyo 2020.
