Caroline Smallwood is one of four Student Administration Coordinators in the Centre for Lifelong Learning. Caroline has spent around twenty-years working in further and higher education, across various student services. As well as being an experienced administrator, in previous roles Caroline has gained a wealth of knowledge in the areas of student finance, student recruitment, and initial advice and guidance. Caroline studied her undergraduate degree in Leadership and Management as a mature student, so is well-placed to understand the experiences of students who study in the Centre for Lifelong Learning.
The Student Administration Coordinators are responsible for the administration of the portfolio of programmes the Centre of Lifelong Learning has to offer. They are the first point of contact for current and past students with non-academic queries, and are able to signpost to relevant services and colleagues where necessary. The Coordinators ensure that the programme administration is compliant with university guidelines, whilst maintaining records and systems used in the centre. They are assisted by the Student Administration Assistants and are responsible for delegating appropriate tasks to them.
