Our Third Year Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Degree student, Chris Jones, accepted an invitation to share his story at the Early Childhood Studies Degree Conference in London in January. He organised time off work, prepared his piece, travelled to London and had the courage to bare himself to an audience of scholars and students from a range of universities and institutions.

"At CLL we are very proud of Chris and all our adult learners. They manage their responsibilities as students, parents, grandparents, carers and professionals, and are transformed by their learning." says, Dr Sarah Cousins, Director of Academic Studies and Early Years Programmes at the Centre.

"Their lives are highly complex and they are wonderful human beings. When ready, like Chris was this year, our learners launch forth (Deleuze and Guattari, 2001) to make their voices heard and change people's lives."
