National Student Survey

The 2021 National Student Survey has been the most valuable in recent years. It has given us, as a department, the chance to see what aspects of blended and online learning have worked for our cohort and where we need to work closer with our students to develop and improve. It has shown us the areas of academia our students truly value and how the Warwick experience should be working for them as mature students.

Thanks to this feedback, we are enhancing input opportunities for our student community – inviting students to course and team meetings to not only ensure their voices are heard but to give them an insight into how we build and run our courses. We have always been keen to listen to our cohort but the NSS has demonstrated how valuable their contributions can be to the continual growth of the Centre.

Not only will we be working more closely with our cohort but, thanks to the NSS, areas of excellence within courses have been highlighted spurring us to do more cross-course work, sharing good practice with teams and encouraging skills and knowledge to be shared across the department.

In the short term, we have introduced more in-house skills sessions, increased the availability of team members to meet with students, and are working closely with our careers rep to ensure our students are fully informed.

We will continue to listen and react to our student feedback and work with them to ensure the department provides them with a challenging yet enjoyable student experience.
